Course Set-Up

Details

This volunteer will help Quinn set up the course. Please arrive by 3:30pm.

Tasks include:
- lining 50 yard dash with provided flags
- flagging key corners/turns
- marking starting lines with spray paint and starting signs
- setting up sponsor yard signs at finish line
- checking field for debris/trash

Registration Table for pre-registered runners (runners who need to pick up packets)

April 12, 2026

Details

This volunteer will run the Registration Table for pre-registered runners (runners who need to pick up packets). Please arrive by 4:00pm.

Tasks include:
- Check off runners from list and hand out their packets (t-shirt and race bibs)
- Tell runners their heat assignment upon check-in
- Prompt registered runners to fill in their race bibs

Finish Line Help

At least 2 more volunteers needed.

Details

This volunteer will assist in the Finish Line area. This is a great view to cheer on runners. I need the most help during the Pre-K and 1/4 mile races so if you have a child in an older race this is the spot for you!! Come and help then you can be released in time to watch your child run.

Tasks include:
- Keeping finishers in order as they cross the finish line
- Assisting to mark bib tags (1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc.) and tear off bib tags

Packet Pick-Up

April 9, 2026

Details

This volunteer will assist with Packet Pick-Up on Thursday April 9 from 4:30pm-6:00pm at Rainbow Elementary School. Meet Quinn at the front entrance at 4:25pm. We will be set up outside.

Tasks include:
Welcoming runners
Filling race bags
Handing out race bags
Checking off runners names from list

Course Marshal - 1/4 Mile Races

At least 3 more volunteers needed.

Details

This volunteer will Course Marshal the 1/4 Mile course. This is a great view to cheer on runners and is a perfect position for a parent who does not need to be at the start/finish to retrieve their child or for a second parent. Please arrive by 4:20pm you should be finished by 4:45pm, however your spot will be traveled on the 1/2 Mile and 1 Mile races as well so if you can stay until 5:00pm we could use you!

Tasks include:
- Keeping runners safe on the course by monitoring sportsmanship (no pushing, no name calling, no cutting corners)
- Directing runners at key turns
- Cheering on runners

This is a great view to cheer on runners and is a perfect position for a parent who does not need to be at the start/finish to retrieve their child or for a second parent. Please arrive by 4:20pm and plan to stay in your spot until 5:00pm -however if you can stay until 5:15pm your spot will be traveled on the 1 Mile races as well and we could use you!

RUNNERS to provide encouragement and rally the tail end runners

At least 5 more volunteers needed.

Details

This volunteer will run the course on race day! **Pacing is not allowed**. However, we need volunteers who can jump in and run when our runners need a little encouragement to keep going. ONLY VOLUNTEERS ARE PERMITTED ON THE RACE COURSE. Bring your sneakers and run with us. ***This is the perfect spot for high schoolers, sports teams, etc.


Tasks include:
- "Running in" racers who are struggling to finish and need a little push
- Jumping in to provide encouragement
- Assisting runners to ensure they are staying on course

This volunteer will Course Marshal the 1 Mile course. This is a great view to cheer on runners and is a perfect position for a parent who does not need to be at the start/finish to retrieve their child or for a second parent. THIS IS OUR TOUGHEST COURSE AND LONGEST RACE AND OUR RUNNERS NEED YOUR ENCOURAGEMENT ON THE MILE COURSE. Please arrive by 4:30pm you should be finished by 5:15-5:30pm.

- Keeping runners safe on the course by monitoring sportsmanship (no pushing, no name calling, no cutting corners)
- Directing runners at key turns
- Cheering on runners

STARTING LINE ASSISTANT

Details

This volunteer will assist our head volunteer at the starting line for any/all races. For all races aside from the Pre-K races, you will be able to assist at the starting line and still be able to cheer on your child at the finish line. Please arrive by 4:20pm and plan to stay in your spot until 5:00pm.

Tasks include:
- Making sure child's shoes are tied
- Making sure all runners have a FILLED IN BIB pinned on to the FRONT of their shirt
- Cheering on runners
